Try This 30 Day Experiment With Me
Intelligent Marketer Newsletter
Welcome back to The Intelligent Marketer, where over 14,538 growth-minded founders, agency owners, and marketers go to learn modern marketing strategies.
Lately, I’ve noticed something about how I’ve been working.
I’ve had a handful of projects floating around at the same time.
A few AI workflow ideas.
Some newsletter experiments.
New systems I want to install inside Legacy Builder.
All good ideas.
But I’ve been bouncing between them.
A little progress here, a little progress there, then back to the normal workflows.
And when that happens, something interesting occurs:
Nothing has actually been finished…
My effort is fragmented, and it’s creating multiple “open loops” which, over time, become mentally exhausting when not addressed.
This got me thinking about a simple experiment I want to run, and I’d invite you to try it with me.
What happens if you go all in on one (maybe 2-3 😂) projects for 30 days?
Most Founders Don’t Lack Ideas
If you’re anything like me, the problem isn’t a lack of ideas for things to do or improve upon.
It’s prioritization… or what I like to call “singularity of focus.”
Meaningful progress usually requires concentrated effort, not scattered attention.
The Problem With Half-Focused Work
Here’s the trap I think a lot of founders fall into.
We like momentum… and we like to go where we feel like we can continue to build upon it.
So we keep projects in motion…
That looks like:
Drafting part of a course but never finishing it
Building an AI workflow halfway and then starting another one
Starting a new initiative before the previous one is complete
From the outside, it feels productive.
But from the inside it’s just fragmentation.
The 30-Day Focus Experiment
So here’s the experiment I’m running.
For the next 30 days, I’m picking one high-leverage project and giving it concentrated effort.
Not forever.
Just for one focused sprint.
The rules are simple:
One project gets priority
Daily progress is non-negotiable
No starting new side initiatives
Every task must move that project forward
That’s it.
Thirty days of singular focus.
The High-Leverage Question
If you had to bet on one project for the next 30 days, what would it be?
Not the easiest one.
The one that would move the business forward the most if it actually got done.
Maybe that’s:
Launching a flagship offer
Building an AI system that removes hours of manual work
Creating a content engine that compounds attention
Finishing the product you’ve been sitting on
Most founders already know the answer.
My Goal for the Next 30 Days
Personally, this experiment is about eliminating fragmentation.
Instead of having AI ideas, newsletter ideas, and product ideas all half-built…
I want to drive one meaningful project across the finish line.
Because finished systems create leverage.
Half-built ideas don’t.
My Project(s)
Okay, I might be breaking the rules already… but I’m picking two projects for my 30 day sprint.
The first one is the AI content workflows project we’ve been working on internally since our quarterly offsite in January.
Lots of moving parts, lots of back and forth, but we’re almost there. Only a few more things need to fall in place for it to work how we want it to.
The second project is going to be setting up our company newsletter, Executive Summary, for success.
The content is consistently going out with intention right now, but we’re lacking the systems needed to monetize and move people through the value ladder.
Lots of sequences, automations, and funnels to build here to maximize what we’re doing.
If you’re interested in following along with what we’re building over there, we’re up to 85,000+ subscribers over there, feel free to subscribe HERE.
Will keep everyone posted.
