Scale Your Online Business in 2024

Welcome to this week’s edition of the Creator Summit Newsletter where every Tuesday you’ll get an email from me helping you become a more holistic creator and entrepreneur, or a “Full-Stack Creator” as some might say.

In the world of content creation and online business, everyone tells you how to make $10k per month… but nobody tells you what to do when you get there.

My mission with the Creator Summit Newsletter is to do that and much more…

That being said, let’s get into today’s message:

Here’s a brief timeline of how I got to where I am today…

January 2023: I wrote my first tweet and started writing online, talking about the only thing I knew at the time, which was self-improvement.

May 2023: After lacking consistency and realizing I had no idea what I was doing, I decided to recommit to the craft and go all in.

June 2023: Started working with a mentor, Ross Harkness, who helped me build the runway to take off from. I was trying to fly the plane without any direction or any place to take off from. It’s safe to say I wouldn’t be here without his support and guidance.

October 2023: Met Legacy Builder, and started doing some work for him and writing for some of his ghostwriting clients.

November 2023 (big month): Joined Legacy Builder’s team, landed my first newsletter client, and quit my 9-5 job as a financial advisor after making more as a creator.

January 2024: Relaunched my newsletter, The Creator Summit Newsletter, and launched my LinkedIn profile.

And that leads us to where we are today… helping Legacy Builder build and grow one of the best content agencies in the world…

AND building my newsletter writing business, helping clients maximize the full potential of their email list.

So, after a whirlwind of a year in 2023, here’s my plan to scale my business to over $15k/month in 2024:

My Plan for X (Formerly Twitter)

The Goal:

Goals are two-fold… growth and lead generation (similar to LinkedIn below).

My goal is to double my following to 5,000 by the middle of the year.

For lead generation, the goal is to bring on an additional 3-5 newsletter clients by the middle of the year.

The System:

For growth, I plan to post 2 tweets per day every day, write 2 long-form posts per week, and engage for 10-20 minutes every day.

For lead generation, let’s keep it simple. I plan to send 10 DMs daily looking for clients to write a weekly newsletter for.

My Plan for LinkedIn

The Goal:

My goals are also two-fold for LinkedIn… growth and lead generation for newsletter clients.

My growth goal is to hit 2,000 followers by the middle of the year.

I plan to source 3-5 additional newsletter clients by the middle of the year (I don’t plan to bring on any team members yet, so capacity is limited).

This provides an additional $6k-$10k in monthly revenue.

The System:

For growth, I plan to post 1 time per day, every day of the week, with 2-3 of the posts being long-form carousels. I’m also in a distribution group which will help with reach.

Also for growth, I’m using LinkedHelper 2, a software that essentially sends out connections to people in your niche who are active on the platform, helping you build your network and your following.

For lead generation, I plan to send 10 DMs per day. Nothing complicated, just simple and to the point.

My Plan for The Creator Summit Newsletter

The Goal:

Grow my newsletter to 3,000 by the middle of the year. I don’t have monetization goals yet, just to build up a loyal subscriber base and continue to provide high-quality, relevant content.

The System:

I plan to grow using auto-plugs on X and LinkedIn, promoting and encouraging people to subscribe at nearly every chance I get.

Offer Creation and Offer Stacks

Your offer is the most important factor of your creator business. You don't really have a business until you have a legitimate offer.

So for 2024, my goal is to start to layer out a full offer stack.

Right now, my only way of growing revenue is to bring on high-ticket newsletter clients.

I plan to expand to a low-ticket offer… with a release date by the end of Q1 (at the latest).

I have yet to finalize the idea, but it will be an email course that helps creators with a certain topic related to growing and scaling their business.

And by the middle of the year, I plan to launch a cohort, helping creators actually launch their businesses.

Whether it’s to help them land ghostwriting clients or help them land clients in a different niche, I want to help the people who are in the same boat I was in back in January of 2023.

Expect a cohort launch around the middle of the year.

Learning & Development

Email marketing is about more than writing newsletters and writing good copy…

To expand my high-ticket offer and provide tons more value to my clients, I plan to spend a good portion of my free time honing in on the craft of email marketing.

And there you have it… that’s my plan to grow and scale my online business to $15k/month in 2024.
