After building an agency and working with many clients helping with build, grow, and write their newsletters… I’ve learned a ton.
For a newsletter to truly grow and become a powerhouse in its niche… it' needs to do a few things…
First, let’s understand something:
Writing content for social media and writing content for your newsletter is completely different.
If there’s no clear separation from your social media content, people will become disinterested and stop reading your emails because they can find the same thing on your social media.
Your newsletter should do this:
Take people on a journey.
Or in a book I’m currently reading, it needs to lead people in a movement.
People need to feel like you’re taking them somewhere, and you’re helping them reach the ideal version of themselves through learning from you.
People read, watch, and listen to things because of two primary reasons:
It entertains them.
They believe it helps them achieve the transformation they’re looking for.
If it’s both? Even better.
So, instead of boring you with “8 copywriting tips” … I have one question to ask you…
What journey are you taking your readers on?
If you can’t answer that quickly, it’s time to do some digging and figure it out.
Because that simple question… is how you write content that sells and is what will separate you in your niche.
