How to Book More Calls with Your Newsletter
The Creator Summit Newsletter
Welcome back!
It’s great to have you here for this Friday’s edition of the Creator Summit Newsletter.
Today is all about how to book more calls for your business through your newsletter.
Let’s get into it:
Many businesses miss out on turning their email lists into paying clients, but with a few tweaks, you can change that.
I’ve helped countless clients grow, write, and monetize their newsletters.
Here’s how you can book more calls with your newsletter and turn those readers into real leads for your business:
1. Identify Their Problem (And Show You Understand It)
People read newsletters because they believe you have something valuable to offer, especially when it speaks to a pain point they’re experiencing. Instead of talking about yourself or your business, talk about them—their struggles, needs, and desires.
For example:
“Are you finding it hard to stand out in your niche on LinkedIn or X? You’re not alone. Many professionals struggle with building an impactful personal brand—let me show you how I’ve helped others solve this exact problem.”
Once you’ve captured their attention with an issue they resonate with, they’ll be more inclined to book a call to learn about the solution.
2. Include a Crystal-Clear CTA (Multiple Times)
Don’t make your readers guess what the next step is. Your call to action (CTA) should be simple and repeated throughout your email. Be direct, and avoid vague language. Something like:
“Click here to book your free strategy call and see how we can grow your newsletter.”
Place this CTA throughout the email. The easier you make it for them to take action, the higher your chances of conversion.
Finally! A portfolio that's auto-updating and backs up your work.
Tired of spending hours updating your portfolio or losing your work samples to site shutdowns?

3. Create a Sense of Urgency
People are more likely to act when they feel there’s a limited-time opportunity. Use urgency strategically to push them toward booking a call sooner rather than later.
For example:
“We’re offering a limited number of free strategy sessions this month—grab yours before spots fill up!”
Urgency is a powerful driver in email marketing, so don’t hesitate to let them know they could miss out.
4. Emphasize the Benefits
Your subscribers need to know exactly what’s in it for them. What tangible benefits will they get by booking a call with you? Focus on the results they’ll experience.
Try something like:
“In this strategy session, you’ll walk away with a personalized plan to boost your LinkedIn engagement and grow your influence.”
The clearer you are about the benefits, the more appealing your offer becomes.
5. Personalize and Engage
Remember, people want to connect with people, not faceless companies. Keep your tone friendly and personable, and make your subscribers feel like you're speaking directly to them.
Adding a success story or mentioning a recent win for a client can help them see that you’re already getting results for others.
