Build a Brand Worth Following

The Key to Online Success

In partnership with

Hey ,

Welcome back to The Intelligent Marketer, where over 16,295 growth-minded founders, agency owners, and marketers go to learn modern marketing strategies.

Let’s dive in: 👇

1. Content Creation

Educational

To become an authority in your niche, you need to build credibility and show you’re an expert in what you do.

You do this through educational type content.

Think of it as offering advice… lots of “How to” and “How I” posts, explaining how someone can achieve a certain result in business or in life.

Inspirational

Think of this less like a motivational speaker, and more like inspiring someone to take action.

“I used to do this… and now, after following this… I’ve been able to achieve this.”

Authenticity

You’re building a “personal” brand.

People want to know you, who you are, and what you believe in. Authenticity-type content is what builds trust with your audience and gets them to buy into what you’re doing.

It’s not enough to share value, you have to open up and share your life… it’s what humanizes your brand and makes following you much more appealing.

People love stories… never shy away from sharing yours.

2. Systems

“System” is a term that gets thrown around A LOT… and most people often fall short of their system-building advice.

Here are the top areas you need to build systems ASAP as a creator if you want to start making significant progress:

  • A Time Management System: Without a time management system, you’re going to be operating sporadically, on a whim, and you’re focus is going to be pulled in different directions. Start time blocking all of your tasks, meetings, and projects throughout the week and remove distractions during those blocks.

  • A Content Creation System: Your content is going to be the lifeblood of your account growth and likely your business growth, too. Dial in a system for deep work, creating content, editing, and finalizing the content before it goes out to the world.

  • Client / CRM System: As a business, retaining and gaining new clients is crucial. You need to have clear SOPs and processes in place for communication, hitting deadlines, and making sure you are fulfilling your end of the deal for your clients. If you don’t have clients yet, create a system for outreach and getting new clients.

There’s certainly more that would be beneficial… but these are the three I would start with and I would argue is crucial for success.

3. Relationship Building & Networking

One thing you’ll find in this space… nobody succeeds alone.

Building relationships with other creators has been the single best thing I’ve done.

DM creators and people you want to connect with and learn from. Scan their profiles, offers, or bios. Find something that you can add value on and reach out and share it… for FREE.

(For more on networking, see my previous newsletter)

If you want help, be helpful.

This is the best way to build relationships with others… and it’s how I’ve been able to build my creator business.

There’s a reason they say, “Your network is your net worth.”
