6 Cliche Daily Habits
These Helped Me Get My First $10k/month
The interesting thing I’ve learned about money…
It’s a lagging indicator of success.
My friend and mentor always tells me:
“It’s already happened, time just hasn’t caught up yet.”
And the more time goes by, the more that sentence becomes true.
When exploring ways to become successful at whatever you do, my guess is you’re already doing them… you just haven’t done them long enough.
Because the majority of people who go on to become wildly successful…
They did the same things day after day without fail.
While some of these habits may seem cliché, that’s the point.
Here are 6 habits that have transformed my journey:
1. Waking Up Early
If there’s one thing I could force myself to do for the rest of my life, it’s waking up early and getting right into deep work. “Early” means different things to everyone. For me, it’s usually around 5:30am to 5:45am.
Early mornings are the most productive time of day for me without question. Waking up early gives me the solitude I need to think, process things, and get work done.
For you, this quiet time without distractions can be used for planning your day, engaging in deep work, or personal development activities like reading or meditation.
2. Time Blocking
If there were two things I could force myself to do for the rest of my life, it’d be waking up early AND time blocking my days.
Time blocking involves scheduling specific blocks of time for different tasks or activities throughout your day. This single-handedly reduces my anxiety and stress on a daily basis.
My whole day is full, I don’t leave anything up for question… if I do, I feel like I should be getting everything possible done in one day, and I end up overwhelmed and anxious.
When I time block, I’m way more productive and focused, and my overall quality of work is higher.
If you’re like me, you’re always looking for new and insightful newsletters to read.
One of my favorites that I’ve been reading a ton lately is The Small Business Mentor.
Alan, the writer of the newsletter, has built his government contracting business to over $30M in revenue.
In his newsletter, he shares everything he’s learned along the way.
And my favorite part?
He’s a no BS kind of guy… you get all of the details, all of the information you need, without the fluff.

3. Going for Walks
There’s something about walks that allows my brain to process and think through things.
Taking regular walks might seem like a simple habit, but there are no downsides to it.
Physical activity, combined with the change of environment, helps reduce stress and refreshes your mind.
4. Limiting Screen Time
In today's digital age, it's easy to get consumed by screens, whether for work or leisure. Limiting screen time has been crucial for improving mental and physical health, as well as improving productivity.
I sleep better, my focus is better, and I’m not constantly comparing myself to other people’s highlight reels on Instagram.
Definitely worth it.
5. Networking with Other Creators
They always say, “Your network is your net worth.”
I can 1,000% vouch for that.
Networking opens doors to new opportunities, ideas, and collaborations.
Build genuine relationships with people and watch your life as a whole improve.
6. Reading & Listening to Podcasts
Never stop learning new things. Don’t turn learning into a chore, but when you have downtime or long drives, always aim to get some learning time in.
Learning new things unlocks different pathways in our brain (or something like that lol), it’s essentially a little boost in dopamine and we feel more accomplished and successful.
Leaders are readers → The world’s most successful people all have reading a lot in common, remember that.
