It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through January.

So, in light of the new year, let’s dive into 4 tools and strategies to implement for your business’s email newsletter in 2025.

1. Interactive Features

There are a ton of interactive features you can use in your newsletter to do things like generate leads, gather subscriber preferences, and float new ideas to your audience. These tools also increase reader engagement with your newsletter and help your audience know that you value them and their input.

Polls, quizzes, and surveys can all provide you with valuable insights into your audience and what they’re looking for, while also giving your audience the chance to be involved in your content.

2. Predictive Analytics

There are numerous AI tools out there now that can help you with predictive analytics. These analytics can cover everything from how likely a lead is to turn into a paying customer to forecasting high sales volumes for certain products at certain times. They can also identify customers at risk of unsubscribing or recommend certain products for customers based on their known behavior.

Of course, these tools all provide helpful data to you to help you strategize business decisions. You can group subscribers based on this data and write emails to send to those groups, marketing to their specific interests.

3. Mobile-Friendly

Making your newsletter mobile-friendly has been important for a while. If you haven’t already, it’s time to format your newsletter so that the mass of people reading it on their phones can read it easily and click on any links that are present.

For example, your points must be clear and short, using bullet points or some other organization method, to ensure someone reading on their phone can easily define each point of your newsletter. Your call-to-action must also be visible and functional on mobile.

Ensuring everything is mobile-friendly will help your newsletter become more effective.

4. Build a Community

This ties in a little with the first point but work on making your newsletter subscriber base a community. You can do this through exclusive offers like discounts or early access, which help your readers recognize the value in subscribing to your newsletter.

To build community, you can also highlight customer feedback. When they leave a positive review or say they think well of your business, ask them if you can share that with others. Not only will they see it but others will see, too, that you value your customers and audience.

Invite this feedback through the tools mentioned above like polls or surveys. This will help you understand what it is your customers would like to see and how you can better help them.

Building a community around your newsletter ensures you have a loyal and dedicated readership that will stay up-to-date on whatever it is you're doing through your business.
